Greetings

Pianist Jaesung Kim is a doctoral graduate of the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music in piano performance. Dr. Kim has Bachelor and Master's degrees from Yonsei University, South Korea, and the Cleveland Institute of Music. He is experienced in teaching all age groups and levels of students since 2001.

Pianist Karen Kim has more than 10 years of teaching experience with young students. She received her Bachelor and Master's degrees in piano from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, where she taught classes such as applied piano, private lessons, and Pop Music with Lead Sheets. Ms. Kim is currently a doctoral candidate at Ohio State University in piano performance.
Pianist Mrs. Kristi Zhou is born in China. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, one of the most prestigious conservatory in China and her Masters of Music from Boston University School of Music.
She has a wealth of experience teaching piano, music theory, music history and appreciation to students of all ages and ability levels. She started giving private piano lessons since college. She has also taught in classroom settings from kindergarten through high school and taught Western music history and AP Music Theory for college preparatory students. Additionally, she has worked with students on choral rehearsals and performances, musical theatre productions, school musical shows along with a variety of other activities.
She is passionate about instilling a love of music to students of all ages and setting a solid foundation in their music education. She believes in developing the whole musician including ear-training, sight-reading, improvisation, composition, theory and creativity as well as superb technical abilities. To see the musical knowledge and appreciation accompany her students for all their lives gives her the ultimate joy and satisfaction as a piano teacher.
Violinist Cathy Chiu completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music performance in 2019 and 2021 from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. She is one of the teaching assistants in her studio from 2017 to 2021. Ms. Chiu not only has a strong passion for violin teaching but also for orchestral music. She performed with the Govans Presbyterian Church Orchestra, Brown Memorial Woodbrook Presbyterian Church Orchestra, and the Providence Baptist Church between 2016 and 2020. Since moving to Cincinnati in 2022, Ms. Chiu has been a member of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Queen City Opera Orchestra, and an acting member of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.
Jeremy Collins is a classical/fingerstyle guitarist based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to being a finalist and prizewinner in the 2011 Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition, he has received first prizes at the “Classical Minds” Festival Guitar Competition; the Appalachian State Guitar Fest Solo Competition; the East Carolina University Solo Guitar Competition; the Rantucci Guitar Competition; the Dominguez Hills Solo Competition; the ASTA “Aaron Green” Guitar Competition; the Columbus State University Guitar Symposium Competition; and the University of Louisville Guitar Competition. He is also a former Masterworks Festival concerto competition winner.
Since his invitation to perform on NPR’s “From the Top” national radio program in Cincinnati at the age of 16, he has performed solo and chamber recitals extensively throughout the US.
Mr. Collins began his studies on the guitar at age 13 with Rodney Stucky at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) preparatory program. He went on to study with Grammy award-winning guitarists Jason Vieaux, at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and William Kanengiser, at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
Since beginning to compose for the guitar at the age of 14, his solo compositions and arrangements have become known for their unique tunings. His debut album, Winter Dream, was released in December 2011, and features nine original compositions for solo guitar, each in dramatically altered tunings. In 2017, he released his second album, Classical Guitar Hymns, featuring his own scordatura arrangements of traditional and contemporary christian music. In 2021, he composed the set piece, Reverie, as a commission for the twelve semi-finalists of the James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition.
In addition to his other activities, Mr. Collins serves on the faculty at Xavier University, The Indian Springs Academy of Music, the Toedtman School of Music, and maintains a large private studio of students both locally and virtually from around the US. In the summer of 2013, he was guitar instructor for the Interlochen Arts Camp, and has taught masterclasses
Sean Chen is a professional violinist who currently holds a doctoral candidate degree in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He studied with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Stefani Matsuo and Dr. Won-Bin Yim.
In 2023, he won the violin audition for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and is currently an Associate Musician. Additionally, he regularly performs with the Lima, Butler, and Mason Symphony Orchestras. He was an alumnus of the Asian Youth Orchestra, the most well-known international music festival in Asia.
In Taiwan, he was the Concertmaster of the Aesthetic Symphony Orchestra in Kaohsiung City from 2020 to 2022. He was invited as a soloist to perform concerts and violin concertos with many orchestras in Taiwan.
Among his strengths as a teacher are his musicality, technical skills, and ability to motivate students. He can teach from beginner to advanced level. In addition, his students often win violin competitions and go to a good music school. He is always able to help students improve through high-quality teaching.
